Fit Brains Trainer App Reviews

Too many issues unresolved!!

In theory, this could be a good app. In practice, it is not given the reluctance of the developers to fix long-standing issues. I have an iPhone 6 and 1) the light beams game cannot be played at all since there are no mirrors to drag; 2) the worldly words game has problems as words are often cut and not displayed properly; 3) the reading blocks game is awful because objects are not aligned with the rows of the grid. I would appreciate it if these issues could be solved sooner rather than later!! Also, if they work on the app, they should listen to what most users have written in the reviews and take out the useless emotional section.

Fun brain games

I look forward to playing this.

Not Worth the Money

Ive been using Lumosity for years and decided to try this for variety, maps I consistently score very high on that app. I thought it would be good to find new challenges. Big mistake! First, there is no place to contact for support that I could find. Second, there are serious errors in this app that need addressing. Here are the worst ones: I use my iPad for playing the games, and for some unexplained reason, a great deal of the text is missing in some games, so you have to resort to guessing. That lowers your overall score. There is no option to try a game out before playing it, so you often get scored for not understanding how the game should be played, and then there is no way that you can replay the game if you finally figure it out. There are directions, but they are poorly written in some cases, so you end up having no idea how to play. The social awareness game of recognizing facial expressions is insane. Many of the expressions could have multiple emotions behind them, so I score really low on it, getting worse each time, rather than improving. Since I am considered by others to be one of the most intuitive and empathetic persons they know, I am positive it is not my lack of social awareness. Many of the questions are so redundant that you think you are taking the same test over and over again. The foreign language part of the test is really sad. Though I agree that knowing other languages is highly beneficial, I find that section to be either too easy or completely impossible. Besides, that has nothing to do with neurological processing. It has to do with knowledge, and since this is a subsidiary of Rosetta Stone, it just seems like a commercial. Those are my biggest complaints. Back to Lumosity for me.

Problem Solving PROBLEM for FITBRAINS!

Most of the tests are good, but the designer of Problem Solving has a problem with Row/Column definitions. My (grown) daughter watched me twice... ROW is Horizontal - COLUMN is Vertical! Yet Test keeps getting it Wrong! Need to fortify Your Brain, FITBRAINS!

So far...entertaining

Havent had the app long enough to notice improvement in myself but enjoy the daily challenges, nice way to pass time and seems it could be beneficial too.

I love it, and it actually works!

I enjoy the games, especially certain ones. When they start getting tedious and I start advancing, I enjoy the challenge to keep my mind sharp. (Thats the idea, right?) It was a good purchase!

That is fun. Fun is a way to improve in the life.

Excellent

Great app for brain training

Wish I had money to buy the upgraded one lol! Maybe tomorrow I will!!

Love it!

Helping my memory to improve!!

Almost perfect

These games certainly enhance my mental flexibility. That said, they are all on a timer (unlike some lumosity games that run indefinitely based on how consistently you answer correctly), and the mechanics of some game (particularly Visual Sudoku) are a little sloppy. For instance Ill drag the right answer to the right tile but the software wont quote recognize it, so itll go back to the starting position and Ill have to redo the answer. If this happens enough, youve wasted too much time and cannot best your last score. Im doing it as fast as possible but this flaw prevents me from progressing. It happens a bit in other games too. Im sure kinks like this will be seen and worked out by the development team. Its still an overall engaging and worthwhile app to use. Looking forward to it only getting better!

Worth it

Great app, the games all feel well thought out and appropriate for the goal. Some minor bugs here and there but they seem to be working on them.

Great brain game!

Love this app for exercising my brain!

More examples

Id like to see examples along with the directions, as in the Luminosity app. Some of the directions are not clear enough for me, and it takes half of my session time to figure out how to play. I am enjoying the games.

Got 3 games in and it crashed and started over.

Not worth the cost. Yes, I know itss "free."

Auntie

Im encouraged to start these tests since I know succeeding in them will help me be a better person!!

Great fun and good for you too

I like the verity of the games. Good challenge and not hard to learn.

You get what you pay for

All lot of people are reviewing this app as no fun, boring, repetitive. Well the thing is thats its intent. Its intended to help you train your brain. I think the app is extremely well thought out. I got the year subscription because I have been having issues remembering the simplest of things. Everyone says oh it happens after you turn 40. So this is a way for me to strengthen those brain muscles again. I love this app!

Meh

Now costs money for me to train. Waste of time and phone storage. So not impressed.

Seems nice

I have 2 of these brain training apps (both also with EQ games) and the progress graphs tend to be high or low in the same areas. I dont have a subscription on either but am considering it since Ive been using them for the past few months.

Peak is great but....

I need more instructions. Im half way thru before t find out how to play games.
